Oh Telephone Lines!

I wonder how many millions of people will call to wish someone a Happy New Year in the next 36 hours? Most will use a mobile I guess but for many the telephone line is still the mainstay for contact. These lines, running up the lane from our house, serve two very isolated households with no mobile signal so will be buzzing!
