Canalside with the feathered friends.

It has started much cooler this morning, after yesterday's mini Summer. I went out for our newspapers and then watered all the petunias and tender bedding plants..The clouds often look as if it is going to rain but then it doesn't!
After breakfast, I went down to the canal. The mother mallard was there with her five ducklings but it was impossible to get a shot with them all together. They were eating avidly something around the water lilies.
I had a nice chat with C who was packing to go climbing in the Langdales.
