To SKELF! It were sunny (with occasional blasts of wind - not good when you're trying to speed around the pump track, but hey...)
We hauled ourselves out with a packed lunch and up into town; down Calton Rd, up across the High St and thru' Dumbiedykes.
Them lads set about lap after lap; dodging and being dodged by the varying degrees of skills of the riders there.
We hung about until She got home from shopping with her lass, and then we went over and fired up the oven with a couple of chickens to roast. A couple of hours of peace whilst the lads drew breath and then they devoured the roast chicken (the adult version had sweet potato wedges and a lemon yoghurt garlic sumac drizzle - simple and utterly refreshing - I think hummus / mint one has been relegated from top spot)
And just in case MReid was watchin, we rode off down the Mound into the sunset, the final mile along the mostly now open cycle track past Pensioner's hoose.. Tom sprinted to try and get in for Love Island; Alex and were more measured in our effort to get home..
Extras show us all battering around the pump track
