Cafe

Went for cycle ride this afternoon, the wind was mental requiring a different cafe to be the end point (half the distance, really it had nothing to do with me having not an ounce of fitness in me, cycling home was easy!). This cafe is stereotypical Worthing, it is a destination for mystery tour coach trips (my grandparents used to go on these from North London, i bet they have been here), it over looks the bowling green, has checked plastic tablecloths, a school canteen type of menu and they happily welcome dogs. They also do hot chocolate which apparently was so hot Will needed a good half hour to let it cool down.

On the way home a small child told me I had a flat tyre on my bike. I have never been any good at bike maintenance.

We also had a quick check in to the beach hut as we have not ventured near since September. All appeared well but seemed v odd to look at inflatables and sun hats!!

Domesticity continues, both with jobs that annoy me the rest of the year but I can't be bothered to so anything about and cooking things I wouldn't normally do. So today was cleaning the kitchen cupboards (only the front, lets not go crazy) and to make some custard tarts owing to a surfeit of egg yolks. I think Paul Hollywood would dismiss the custard tarts with a "soggy bottom" assessment but I think they are not bad for a first go.
