oh blessed sun

i was in the sun ALL DAY today. from 10:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon. thats more sun than ive seen in ages.

i think my cheeks may even be a bit sun burnt. okay that is definitely an exaggeration, but still. it was glorious.

today was such a good day.

steph and i went to sunday brunch. im annoyed i didnt do this more often as it was brilliant. there was no room inside the restaurant so we decided to sit outside, because it really wasn't all that cold today. we caused a scene. everyone who walked by commented on us sitting outside. then we started a trend, and eventually every table outside was taken. i think our meal should have been free as we brought in so much revenue for them. regardless. imagine endless delicious food, endless coffee, endless sun, and endless good conversation. it was out of control good.

then we leisurely walked back to the tram and took a detour on the window sill. we just sat there, for a while, with the sun on our faces. it was beautiful, just beautiful. then we found treasure in an abandoned lot of land. we explored and took photos, as seen above.

i went back to the mauer park flea market and it was a shockingly different atmosphere than the last time i was there. last time it was snowing and freezing. this time the sun was out and people we playing everywhere. jugglers, musicians, dogs, everything. it was great. there was even karaoke set up. there was this man walking by, about 40, who looked totally business. the karaoke guy asked if he wanted to sing and he said yes, which was unexpected. then he asked for some foo fighters. it was SO BAD and he loved it SO MUCH. i was dying of laughter. i wish someone could have witnessed this as well. he started screaming and dancing. it was out of control. it doesnt translate all that well. alas.

so. all in all a rather successful day of pretending it was spring. praise the lord for sunshine.
