Tree blood

Spent my day coming to terms with the demise of my palm tree.

And discovering what it was really doing in my garden.  The noise from the highway is very real and annoying.

It doesn't seem to be there all the time, just when the wind blows in the "wrong" direction.



I am going to have to plant something bushy in that patch.  I always wanted a bourgenvilla, but there wasn't really room for one.  Think this is what I should plant in the corner, next to the stump.  It will shield the wall, without being overbearing and provide a splash of colour.   It will have to be a spring project - now (mid-winter) is not the time to plant anything.
