Widewater Lagoon
I was out early this morning as I had a physio appointment booked with Annabel at 9am, and she very kindly gave me today's session for free as she said they wanted to give us something for the baby stuff we gave her yesterday. It was a fair exchange and my shoulder already feels better than it did. The only problem though is that the physio and ultrasound relieves the problem while I'm having it regularly, but then once it stops then the problem returns. Anyway, I have an appointment with my consultant next week so I'll have a chat with him.
I then drove to Shoreham beach to meet Chloe and we had a lovely walk to Lancing beach where we had lunch at The Perch. There are some really nice beach huts on this stretch of beach, and there's also the Widewater Lagoon nature reserve which is at the back of some houses. The houses themselves are amazing and many of them have little boats. The lagoon is manmade and the water is replenished by the sea that filters up though the basin of the lagoon at very high tides.
For lunch we both had a Bang Bang Chicken Buddha Bowl, with is basically a salad with warm chicken in a red thai peanut sauce, which was very nice and very filling. A guy sat at the table next to us and Chloe recognised him and said he was a famous comedian, but couldn't remember his name. I thought he looked familiar, but I'm useless with names anyway, so I took a crafty photo whilst pretending to take a selfie - I think he knew what we were doing though! Anyway, I sent Alan the photo as I knew he'd know who he was - it's Joe Wilkinson off Countdown and 8 out of 10 Cats.
We headed back after lunch as I needed to get home to the boys, and I weeded the terrace at the back of the house and our decking has now arrived and Alan is going to make a start on it this weekend. Once it's done, I can finally put the hot tub back up :-)
Tonight I've been to Zumba, which was extremely hot, Alan's been shooting and Xena's been out for dinner - luckily, Alan saw her getting off the bus when he was driving home, so he was able to give her a lift.
Happy 4th July to all you American Blippers, hope you've had a great day!
