From the top of the Sass Pordoi

Large on Black is the only way to see the detail!

Caught the early bus from just outside the Hotel for a 1 hours journey to the Sass Pordoi. A trip up the cable car took us to 2500m, or around 8500'. Much of the walking up there was still above the snow line (extra 1) after a couple of hours walking through the snow, we returned to the top station of the cable car and from a tiny natural stone arch on the edge of a 2000' drop, I shot this 5-shot pano (it was a little hairy, as it was very narrow!)

After lunch we walked round the grassy hill in the middle of the main photo and managed to get the shot of the approaching storm (extra 2)

All in all - a great day.
