Prevailing Westerly

I went walking for a couple of hours this afternoon around where we are staying. It was quite blowy at the house, but once I got to the top of the hill the wind was so strong I had to lean into it to stay on my feet! This tree clearly indicates that the prevailing wind is from the West, as it was today.

I think the forecast is rain for the next few days, so I'm glad I got out!
