Grasmere

After checking out of the cottage we went to Grasmere for a few hours. It’s a lovely small village with plenty of shops and galleries and of course cafes. We did a lovely walk round Grasmere lake a few years ago but unfortunately don’t have the time today. It’s my favourite lake because it’s not too big and the walk round it is interesting with some fabulous views.
Grasmere was also the home to the poet, William Wordsworth, and Dove Cottage is now a museum of his life and works.
By 3pm we were back on the road and headed for home, and 6hrs later we arrived in London.
