Piece Hall
The day began with a run in the sun at Porty. (Two cruise liners at anchor off Newhaven!) A smooth journey south. The temperature rose as we skirted Chester-le-Street where England were playing New Zealand in the cricket World Cup. It was even warmer when we reached our objective - the Piece Hall in Halifax. This stunning Grade 1 Georgian building is well worth a detour. We were ignorant of its existence until seeing it on The Antiques Road Show!
