Little moppet!
Lottie's big day. She is now six months old, so we have had her spayed. While she was under the anaesthetic, the vet also removed her back dew claws, so it's been quite an ordeal for her.
Most dogs just have dew claws on their front legs, but some, like Lottie, have loosely attached or hanging ones on their back legs too. These can catch in undergrowth and be ripped off, so it was recommended that they were removed.
Poor little mite now has a canine 'babygro' on to cover her tummy wound and a cone on her head to stop her chewing her leg bandages! Oh, the indignity! She is dosed up with painkillers and still a bit drowsy from the anaesthetic, but she is very glad that the three of us are back together again! It's been a strange day without her.
Fingers crossed that she's not too uncomfortable in the night and we all manage to sleep through!
