Fixed and Filtered

Kept my promise to myself for this break and got outside with the camera. Tried an experiment of only taking my fixed 50mm lens with me, so that when I got frustrated by it, I'd be forced to figure it out, rather than just switch lenses to my favourites!

Also took some of the gradient filters with me too, and played around with long exposure shots to capture the combination of water and winter sunshine. Lots of pics taken of the weir in full flood, but in the end it was this one - with that edging of amber leaves along the trunk of the tree - that I went for. This was a long-ish exposure, though the water doesn't quite have the silky feel I was aiming for.
