I have restarted my yoga practice yet again. I see from the notation in the front of my book we have been practicing yoga since the spring of 1977 off and on, mostly off.
I have found Richard Hittleman's 28-Day Yoga Plan to be very worthwhile. The step-by-step instructions, complete with photos are quite understandable. 
So far, so good. I completed Day 2 today.
I have found, however, starting up yoga (again) at my age is a far cry from what it was like at 26! It will be a slow transition to flexibility and strength.
The extra picture is of my dogs while I am on the mat.
