Mrs TD took a few minutes off work to Blip this detail of the west end of the chapel for our friends at Cullen, something to do with similarities between our chapel and their old Kirk at Deskford – including the details of some of the masons’ marks; though there is some suspicion that the marks, like surnames and Y-chromosomes, were passed on from the masons to their sons. No doubt we will hear all about the latest research when we next dare set foot in their refuge – or, perhaps, we’ll just take more photographs of their pine martin through a dirty window.
