Family history

Another evening of family history, emerging from the huge archive of photos that I have inherited. Most are from my mother's side, but this evening we've been working through some on my father's side. These are all from the period from 1940 to the early 1950s, when my father was a nurse (including a spell in the Merchant Navy). Lots of detective work involved, and still some mysteries to solve, but we are beginning to piece together a timeline. It helps that J is an experienced and very able family history researcher - if she can't find it, it's probably not there to be found!
