Gardeners are fortunate here - the climate is benign and the soil is light but fertile. The main challenge is the wind which is unpredictable and whips off the Irish Sea causing desecration as it goes.
When I inspected the main border this afternoon, the lupins were down and some of the Linaria were flattened. Not too bad on the whole and a good excuse to gather them up for the house.
