Torches

There was a lighting strike on a power transformer in Forth William last night. Hundreds of miles away, but it meant that the power to the west coast, Skye, and the Outer Hebrides was cut off.... just half-way through watching "Love actually"! So we went to bed with torches to read... It's always wise to keep torches handy in rural areas... we have battery-powered torches (with spare boxes of batteries) and wind-up torches (my favourite)... It's blowing up another storm today, let's hope the power lines stay up!
