We drove to NYC very early in time to catch the end of our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter's soccer class.  After a quick trip back to the apartment for some lunch, we headed off to the "hippo" playground in Central Park.  We took along her little babydoll in its pink stroller, her pink scooter and pink helmet, her stroller loaded with snacks, drinks, bubbles and a change of clothes and let's not forget the portable "potty."  We were all set!

The playground has just been renovated and it is fabulous.  The surface is rubber so it is impossible to get injured.  There are lots of water sprinklers and several slides.  It was packed with parents and their preschoolers enjoying the outdoors on a very hot city day. The playpark is next to the reservoir so there were some cool breezes.  It was the best place to be.
