At sea

21 degrees air temperature. Wonderful sunshine. Smooth, deep blue ocean. This is the way sea days should be.

Our first four days of the cruise were grey, chilly and with Force 7 winds. They closed off the outer decks and we were getting a bit edgy after a while. As you walked around the interior areas, you could catch muffled snatches of family rows and the Duplicate Bridge session on day 3 was a little more prickly.

They make a fuss about sanitising hands (quite rightly) against Norovirus, but can do little about the recycled air conditioning , leading to the widespread Balmoral cough.

Sun and days ashore have helped.

And a sparkly sea day in prospect. All's right with the world.
