Rodents rule

Redbreast Junior

One of the young robins is starting to sport his redbreast feathers. He's looking very fine. There were young blue tits flying on to the feeders throughout the day, too.

I spent the day in the garden with Juno reading my book and trying to identify the bees bussing around me. I spotted a common carder bee and a blue mason bee [see extras]. I had to rescue an already-battered red admiral from Juno's chasing paws while a tortoiseshell butterfly fluttered nearby.
