Purple

Spent a couple of hours moiling away at the allotment, not so's you'd notice. Weeding, feeding, clipping, supporting and digging. Just as I was leaving I realised I hadn't taken a photo, so here we have Carruther's purple podded pea - luckily I remembered to check them out on the HSL website and apparently they're best enjoyed as mange tout. Or, eventually as dried peas. Helluva pretty flower, though.

Did a few chores, including cutting up some old jeans for patching material. Aay-ah - I didn't realise how sharp the dressmaking scissors were. Made a reasonable attempt at cutting off my little finger.

It'll be fine. Just bled a lot, and still quite sore....

Later, Mr Dave returned from across the sea. Well, the Firth. Very good to see his gub again (over a delicious pint in the Carriers).
