Back home

We left the hotel at 8.15 and had a good journey home, 330 miles in 6 hours driving and no hold ups on the M6 like we did on the way up. My back garden looks like a jungle and needs to be tamed to show it who is boss. It was nice to go for a walk into town and along the promenade in short sleeves, I enjoyed the warmth, something that was definitely missing in the Scottish Isles. We both picked up some midge bites on our Highlands overnight stop, they had got into the car. I had flicked one off my hand and should have despatched it. It repaid me by several bites in my head and other exposed parts.
