Here comes the rain again...

Family & friends will know that I'm a bit of a domestic sloth, especially when it comes to cooking! So there will no doubt be equal measures of surprise, skepticism, horror and respect offered when they discover that I spent most of the day creating an Indian feast!

Chicken biryani, beef curry and gobi masala... Yum! I forgot the yoghurt to make the raita and couldn't get the lid off the home- made carrot chutney but aside from those minor issues the meal was surprisingly edible! Finally discovering how to work the dishwasher (after 5 months) is also another milestone ;) The woofer has watched from a safe distance and will have to settle for a cheese treat later... Not risking curry dog, especially when it's too wet to go out ;)

Today's blip is the reason for my enforced domesticity - this is the run off from the hills behind my apartment block. It's usually somewhere between a trickle and a narrow rivulet!

There can be no rainbow without a cloud and a storm.
