Wow, that was a real storm!

Very good place to be in the thunder storm. Open field! Lots of lightning and thunder. Real heavy rain so we ran out of the field just to stay little bit dryer. And then it hit, real big blocks of ice balls started to hammer the field. It was very noisy and everything was white. You could not see the field which was about 30m in front of us.

After the icy shower ended we try to leave from the field but the street was like a river. There was so much water that my wellington boots where also full of water after I checked if it is driveable or not. So had to wait there for a while, that the water could flow down to drains. And then dry to figure out driveable route back to home, which was not easy task. All roads that went under a bridge (and I can tell that in Lappeenranta we have several!) Were so full of water that cars were stuck there.

I love Finnish summer!
