the tower with the clock is locally known as 'the clocktower' and is the meeting point for anyone and everyone.

the statue in the foreground commemorates the success of the city's three teams (rugby, cricket and football if you can't make it out) and the decline in the fortunes of each of the teams can be charted back to the exact moment that this statue was unveiled.
