Billy and his ball!

Had the lovely job of spending time with the lovely Billy this afternoon. He belongs to our neighbours and they were heading out to a local festival and didn't want to take him with them because of the noise and heat, so asked if I'd go visit him and give him some dinner! How could I refuse that face!! Think we're both as worn out as each other now as he does love a game of fetch!

Spotted my first great spotted woodpecker in our back garden today - did I have my camera at hand to take a pic?! Of course not! Lesson learned!! AT least the weather has been much cooler today so much nicer to get outdoors and get a few bits done in the garden - in between watching the cricket!
