Rainy Mallaig

A long beach walk in the rain before lunch in our dry tent! It was chilly so we headed into Mallaig which now has two steam trains a day from Fort William. The injection of tourists into the local economy is profound. JK Rowling and The Hogwart’s Express are an amazing boon. In the lull between trains we had tea in a cosy cafe that also had convenient sockets, with permission, enabling recharging of my camera. We are proper campers and do not hook up to the mains.
