Elizabethan spendour

Changeover day as we headed from Chester to Harrogate, so a lunchtime stop at Gawthorpe Hall was an unexpected gem to visit.
An elegant Elizabethan house set in a modest park from the outside, but inside not only some interesting history, but also a display from the Gawthorpe Textiles Collection which I really enjoyed.
