Arctic Terns

A few hours wandering about Brodgar today. These Arctic terns on the Loch of Harray I photographed from the road..you can see a chick stretching its wings. Lots of birds around- curlews, skylarks, reed buntings, common sandpipers etc. The swan in the extra shot was having trouble keeping smart in the high wind.
