In the Basement

It’s been hot today. Not immensely hot, but hot. Mum managed to find the cooling bandana that used to belong to my best friend forever Dolly, and is now mine. I wore it while we visited Grandma, who suffers in the heat. I graciously agreed to lend her the bandana so she could try it out.

Mum has started a decluttering project in the basement. She wanted to drop something off, which is why for the first time in my life, if you can believe that, I was down in the basement today. It was a bit scary, I have to say. Even the stairs going down were different. It was darkish and smelled funny. Hm. Let’s just say I’m not eager to go back there any time soon.
