Largs

After a late night P and I decided to go for a walk in Largs. We parked the car at the marina and walked into town.

It was a dull day so my picture of the Largs pencil looked a bit better in black and white.

"On 12 July 1912, the battle was commemorated at Largs with the unveiling of a newly built stone tower.[53] Popularly known as "The Pencil",[54] this 70 feet (21 m) tall,[55] pencil-shaped, conical-roofed tower is built out of ashlar blocks of whinstone." - Wikipedia
