Sing along

Look, there are so many bands, and such distances and it’s so very hot, and we’re not as young as we once were, so the fact that we didn’t go to acts we maybe could have, well y’know, chasing after them would actually destroy the experience of being here.
So after the speccy Hibs pair had kicked things off at the Pyramid, we strolled to the SE corner to see the arty stuff there - and a neat Reggae DJ set started so we just plopped down. So very hot. As was the goat curry I had - I think the poor animal had been dispatched with a machete judging by the bones.
Onward to see Dead South with their punky bluegrass before we decided to hike back to the site to shower. No showers! Water prioritised for drinking. We sat awhile up there anyway before plunging back into the fray - the Killers and I’m so glad we pressed into the throng. A stunning show. Absolutely on top of their game and then who came on the stage but the Pet Shop fellahs! And after they departed, just when it couldn’t get much better, on came Johnny Marr for This Charming Man. Chew on that Morrissey.
So, back up to the site, listening to Hot Chip sitting (at last) around the bonfire, with a final pint. I think we might just survive it.
