The Rescue

When I did my first round in the water basin I discovered this drowning bumble bee. Managed to get it out of the water and put in on this dry leaf.
It was moving a bit and after a while a bit more. I did more rounds in the basin, more people arrived and after some chatting I checked on the bee again and it was drying off and then at some time it was gone. Why in the world would I let the poor thing drown when it was so easy to help?
