5 Spot Burnet
I was down at the nature reserve early before it got either too hot or too busy and as soon as I got there I saw this amazing fuchsia pink creature flying towards me. It was far too quick to allow me to focus but as it settled on the clover I realised what it was and the glorious pink colour had to be the underside of the wings. I lost the first one but as I got to an area where I often see butterflies I could see another one in exactly the same place that I'd seen one last year.
A couple of hours went by all too quickly but it was the heat actually which made me decide to call it a day and head back home, it was quite humid and there wasn't a lot of air about.
Thank you for visiting my journal, it's very much appreciated.
