Sunflower Hot, London

It was absolutely baking today but luckily there was still a bit of a breeze. Today would have been my Mum's 83rd birthday (she died in 2011 after a long battle with vascular dementia). I still miss her tremendously - she was tough, tiny, brilliant, funny and the most hug-shaped person in the world, ever. She would have loved the hot weather today - she'd have been out in the garden, brown as a nut and loving the sunshine and heat, along with any ice cream that could come her way!
We decided to celebrate her birthday with a cream tea and a glass or two of fizz. I could just imagine her sitting there enjoying ever single second if she was still here. Happy Birthday, Mum - love you always and forever.
