Another hot day as we drove northwards to Edinburgh.

The outside temperature on the car thermometer was saying 26 degrees as we drove through the valley of the River Tweed - normally one of the most exposed and cold parts of the Scottish Borders.

Today it was like being on holiday abroad . . . . . . .
