Painted (Young) Ladies

After the excitement of seeing the marbled white butterflies yesterday I was thrilled to see a painted lady all the way from Africa fluttering near our southerly boiler house. I got a shot but it wasn't very good.

As usual I was asked to take pics at my granddaughter's school Leavers' Ball. Poignant for us all as she is leaving. She spent ages doing her make up and achieved a result which looked lovely but pleasingly natural. A group of leavers met at her friend's house before the event and she asked me to come to take photographs. My daughter and I loved seeing all the young women, and a couple of men, so happy.

My daughter helped me to take images at the event at a local hotel afterwards.
