5th wedding anniversary yesterday - our good friends Vanessa and Jason look after Ailsa for an overnighter and we went out on a date! Fantastic dinner at Matterhorn on Cuba Street, then to the cinema to see Client Eastwood in Gran Torino - bloody good film - then to the Duxton Hotel for a treat and a quality lie-in.

Today we joined Vanessa and Jason at their rapidly taking shape new house in Owhiro Bay - it's been a very long road to get to this point but won't it be worth it with views like that. I was standing in what will be the kitchen and we're looking at the frame of the double garage which will have a huge deck on top of it with fantastic views across Cook Strait to the South Island. Can't wait for the barbys!
