Balfron milestone
While transferring more clobber from house-sit to home this afternoon, I had a brief respite from my duties to have coffee and a strawberry tart with a couple of local friends. It was good to catch up, having been away for so long.
I've had my eye on this very old milestone as a possible blip for a long time. As you can see, it is set into the wall of a house in the middle of the village, shows the distance in miles into the centre of Glasgow and in case you weren't too sure, it very helpfully points you in the right direction :-)
What you probably can't see is the writing on the stone sitting on the ledge above. It reads 'Campbeltown 127 miles'. Guess where the residents of the house come from!
Glad to hear there's to be a drop in the temperature tomorrow. Have a good weekend, blipmates, whatever you're up to.
