Moorland surprise

A super morning walk across the moor and over to Long Lee, Keighley. What a surprise to find Ling in flower, a good month I would say before normal. Here, before we headed down the hill away from the moor you can see a number of wild flowers as well as the familiar pink Ling.

It was a dull start and the sun didn’t really come though until after we got back from the walk at 9.30 but it was very pleasant walking.

Later, with the sun cracking the flags as they say, some of us were singing with the ATN choir at Cottingley Hall, a BUPA care home where they were having a garden party. The hours singing seemed to go down very well and the gardens were beautifully decorated with lots of paper flowers, balloons and ribbons.
A delightful event and day and we also ordered our new telly but like most of you said we had to get a new stand too!
