God Bless America
We had a lovely Saturday, mainly at home, with a few tasky things here and there. I started off the day on campus, meandering about trying to find a good spot for some staff pictures I'm taking on Tuesday. It's going to be a chore, and depending on the weather, maybe impossible! Josh said it's supposed to rain all week. This morning, my main problem was finding a place where the sun wasn't shining, creating shadows and all sorts of problems! While I was walking about, I caught a squirrel stealing garbage, I took a hilarious self portrait with major glare on my glasses and I snapped a shot of this flag right in front of the Old School House. I've been passing a huge flag downtown daily, thinking it would be fun to get a picture of it. This isn't huge, but again, I was relishing in the beauty of the blue sky!
The kids had a blast playing with dad today. We had some outside time, got bikes and strollers up off the floor and ended the day at an Eagle Basketball game! It cracks me up how much Tyler changes from the first time he experiences something to the next. The first game, he sat fairly quietly, insisted on routing for the other team, and got mad at me everytime I cheered for the Eagles because it was loud and scared him. Today, he sat there, cheered for the Eagles, cheered right along with everyone else, walked up and ordered his own coke and even walked over and gave Swoop, the Mascot a big hug and high five all by himself. It was hilarious!
A woman Josh works with was there with her son, who is Mia's age. Mia loved him and sat by him, followed him, all over the place. The three kids even sat and shared a bucket of popcorn. It was free entertainment. The Eagles lost in overtime, but it was a very good game. Tyler couldn't wait to go to bed - a sign he's getting way too old and both kids are tucked away sleeping soundly now! I'm headed that way shortly.
Goodnight all!
