Scary lady

Last night I watched the second Democratic debate, not expecting to learn anything. But Kamala Harris was so good I may actually end up voting for her. (My previous front-runners were Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.)

Some of the candidates were real duds, however, and the woman pictured above — Marianne Williamson — was actually terrifying. A spiritual healer/self-help guru/bestselling author, she advocates looking deep into our souls to find the answers to world problems. If it came down to her versus Trump, I might have to stay home on Election Day. Luckily it will not come to that, as she’s bound to drop out of the race soon. (Fair warning: I said the same thing about Trump 4 years ago. One can never be sure of the depths to which the American soul will take us.)
