Deserted

This is the main corridor of my department at work. It is usually a hive of activity but today, being Saturday, it was eerily quiet.

Pharmacy has provided a full service to acute wards from last October, which has meant that I now have to work some Saturdays or Sundays. Weekends are pretty much sacrosanct and, given the choice, I would choose not to work them. That said, I do recognise that there are very good reasons for providing this weekend service - a response to data showing that people do worse if they are admitted over the weekend because of scaled-down services - and that does soften the blow.
