Is it always this sunny in Manchester ?

I wouldn’t know because I think I have only been here a couple of times in my life.

But the journey down by train from Edinburgh was undertaken in lovely weather too and there is an impressive amount of building going on in the city centre .

Manchester is playing host to this summer’s British Irish Council Summit which is the reason for the trip.
