River Nith at Dumfries

Today's the day ……………………. to use the Bus Pass

It has been rather a complicated day today, for reasons that I will not burden you with - and it has been very, very hot.

Will and I were returning south after spending a very pleasant day yesterday.  We drove through the Galloway hills with hardly a cloud in the sky (see extra) until we got to Dumfries.  Will had something else that he had to do, so he dropped me off at the Bus Station.  Armed with my Scottish Bus Pass (which enables you to travel anywhere in Scotland for free), I caught my bus - and was home in no time. 

There are some advantages it has to be said, in reaching that certain age ……………….!
