Delicate touch

I saw this little weed in the lawn this afternoon and it looked so delicate and harmless!! I don't know its name - to me a weed is a weed.

And for some reason this made me think of the fine line between life and death....the road deaths in SA this holiday period number 1068 (this was a statistic two days ago so it will be higher, and we are still faced with the New Year week) We must have the highest road deathrate from drunken driving, excessive speed , blatant disregard of traffic rules, and law enforcement that is totally inadequate. Every year there is an Arrive Alive campaign but it makes no difference.
It's been a worrying day with daughter Penni driving back to Cape Town - about a nine hour drive- but thankfully she arrived home safely.
