Football Ground

Every picture tells a story.
This story is of urban developement thats stalled.
On the Left Hand side behind the screen was the site of a local football ground. The football team moved venue,s leaving the site to become derelict. A speculator as cleared the site and screened it off in preperation for building house,s.However he seems to have run out of money. The turnstyle and entrance was in the immediate foreground.
The White building on the RH side was part of the clubhouse complex and was a squash court it,s now used for storage.
At one time thier was a social club that later became a shady night club.
This doesn,t cover any of the dubious goings on.

All in all its rather sad because I can remember good times in the seventies when it was thriving, now its an eyesore.
