Sassy seventeen

Striving for independence Sam would have much preferred to see his friends today for his birthday, but they couldn't make the last minute arrangements.  He therefore agreed to let us take him out for dinner at the Dog and Duck.  Happily there was whole baked Camembert - with extra bread -  on the menu for a starter which is Sam's favourite,  and the fish and chips and burgers were, as ever, delicious.

There was no room for birthday cake when we came home, but we sang and blew out candles anyway.  

This reminded me of his birthday picture 5 years ago, and thanks to blip I now have his last 7 birthdays on record.  Actually, he hasn't changed so much <3 <3 <3
