Today was our staff conference day. In addition to the usual keynote speech etc there were workshops - I went to one on making fruit kebabs and strawberry tarts (very tasty) and later a rock choir session (fantastic).

At lunchtime I went for a short walk with my friend Alla and we met this rather handsome swan.

This evening a few of us went to have a look at the chemical toilet at Traquair Kirk (the next instalment in the toilet saga). The extra is the lovely view from Traquair this evening
